Since some times already I am working on my handstand without being able to really stabilise it, meeting Katay would have bring me answers to my questions and doubts m. And for Katay, the handstand is a skill he really masters. This venezualian guy was 2 years in a Chinese school where he learned to do this handstand on the top of chairs – and a lot of other skills. In the summer he’s performing in the street of Berlin and in the winter in more warm countries. And he is also an adept of Ido Portal Movement Culture method, who mix physiotherapy, martial arts, capoeira and dance. For sure I like the concept. It suits me. Begin of an obsession. To like the concep is a thing, to apply it and throw yourself into it is another. This kind of skill needs hours of training, so in fact, you need to make an obsession of it. And here in Arambol, I have time. So I throw me into it. Passionately. And with joy. And little by little, it works.
Depuis quelques temps déjà que je travaille sur mon handstand sans réellement trouver comment le stabiliser, la rencontre avec Katay m’aura apporté des réponses à mes questions. En même temps, Katay, il connaît bien le handstand. Ce vénézuélien sort d’une école de cirque chinoise où il est habitué a le faire sur une pile de chaises – et plein d’autres compétences sympa. L’été il fait du spectacle de rue à Berlin et l’hiver dans différents pays chauds. Il est également adepte de la méthode d’Ido Portal (Ido portal movement culture), qui allie physiothérapie, arts martiaux, capoeira, danse et crique. Forcément, le concept me plait. Début d’une obsession. Car apprécier le concept est une chose, se lancer dedans et l’appliquer en est une autre.Ce genre de capacité demandant des heures d’entraînement, en faire une obsession est en fait nécessaire. Et ici à Arambol, j’ai le temps. Alors je m’y plonge. Passionnément. Et toujours avec plaisir. Et petit à petit, ca marche.
